Fields used by Region 153
Region 153 has contracts with the City of Tucson, Pima County, and Tucson Unified School District for local parks. Some are lighted and some are not.
U14 games are played at Udall (a city park) field A. This field is lighted.
U12 games are played at McDonald (a county park). This field is lighted. Games are usually played on Saturday, with the field used for practice Tuesday and Thursday.
U10 games are played at Jesse Owens and Stefan Gollob (both city parks). Only 1 of the 2 Jesse Owens fields is lighted (the West field), so night games may be played there. Gollob is available only in the evening and games are usually played Friday night. Gollob is used for practice on Monday and Wednesday.
U8 games are played at Jesse Owens (a city park). These fields are not lighted, so games and practice are limited to daylight hours. Games are played Saturday morning and during the week for the first 3 weeks of the season. This division does not have post-season play-offs.
U6 games are played at Udall (a city park) field C. This field is not lighted (although lights are supposed to be installed by 2009). Games are played Saturday morning and during the week for the first 3 weeks of the season. This division does not have post-season play-offs.
TUSD fields are used for practice only. No games are played on TUSD fields.
Also, for practice, we rent parts of Palo Verde (a city park), which is one of our few lighted practice fields. No games are played at Palo Verde.
